Încurajată de câţiva amici, m-am hotărât să trimit un e-mail depresiv şi patetic celor de la deviantART, fără a avea însă prea multe speranţe. Ştiam că băieţii nu s-au descurcat prea bine cu problema care m-a determinat să plec, deci nu credeam că o să primesc măcar un răspuns. Cu toate astea, am trimis e-mailul depresiv şi patetic.

I have a rather unusual problem. I was a deviantART user two years ago. I had some problems with a stranger that kept attacking my account. I even had several of his accounts banned by contacting the Help Desk. http://ochestie.deviantart.com/ (that was the first account he created to scare the hell out of me!) Sadly, that didn’t stop him from harassing me, so I saw myself forced to leave deviantART. But before I did, I put all my work in the Storage area.

Anyway, I’m getting ahead of myself. My account was Madeleine-dA. I was a part of several high-profile communities, for a while there I was even part of the WordCount staff.

The thing is, because of that cyber attacker, I was forced to regularly change my account password and along with the password, I also changed the e-mail address of the account. Bad idea, as it turns out because those e-mail accounts were randomly created for the sole purpose of making it hard for that guy to break my account. One year later, I see myself not remembering the password of the account or the e-mail address last used since I used to change them so often.

A few months back my PC crashed, my entire hard disk was erased, and with it all my work submitted to deviantART. I tried files-recovery software to get back at least some of my work but that didn’t turn out all that well.

I know it was stupid of me not to back up my work but… can’t turn back time.

And now, desperate, I ask for your help. I don’t want the account back, I just need to know if there’s a way I can recover my work.

I know you guys are always on the look because of the so popular art theft and I know my case isn’t a solid one but I am willing to answer all and any questions that might help you determine whether the account is actually mine.

There are several users that could confirm that I am who I say I am and that the only chance to be able to recover my work is with you guys.

Acum, eu ce fac? Încerc cu disperare să răspund întrebărilor şi îmi ţin degetele încrucişate. Dar, deşi deviantART m-a surprins plăcut răspunzând e-mailului meu depresiv şi patetic, şi făcând-o într-un timp atât de scurt, bazându-mă pe memoria mea scurtă şi senilă, n-am nicio şansă în iad să-mi recuperez contul.

Vorbeam acum două seri cu un amic despre întrebările de-a dreptul crude pe care trebuie să le răspunzi în eventualitatea recuperării unei parole. Având în vedere că eu sunt cum sunt, obişnuiesc să uit diverse parole — în principiu din cauza superbului Firefox care face meseria mea de uitucă profesionistă atât de uşoară, memorându-mi toate parolele pentru mine. Aşadar, de multe ori mă văd în situaţia în care trebuie să răspund corect unor întrebări de genul: Când aţi creat contul? MM/DD/YYYY — Hai poftim!? Eu de abia îmi amintesc ce am făcut aseară şi tipii ăştia vor de la mine data exactă a creării unui nenerocit de cont? Pfoai… Următoarea întrebare îţi dă peste ochi cu pixelii ei aroganţi: Când v-aţi logat ultima oară? MM/DD/YYYY. Răspunde tu, amice! Eu apăs pe X-uleţul din dreapta sus şi-mi bag bocancii imaginari în el de Gmail, mkay?

Din nefericire, nu e chiar atât de uşor să apăs pe X-uleţ în cazul de faţă. Îmi vreau textele înapoi! Sunt textele mele şi indiferent de greşelile evidente pe care le-am făcut, sunt om şi vrednică de o a doua şansă. Universul nu poate fi atât de crud cu mine, nu? Adică, ar fi paradoxal — mi-a dăruit abilitatea de a scrie şi apoi îmi lasă scrierile pe mâna unei baze de date reci pe care nu o poate accesa nimeni? Hell, no! Nu accept aşa ceva!

Partea proastă e că ultima mea şansă a stat în abilitatea mea de a-mi aminti detalii care erau importante în urmă cu doi ani. Partea incredibil de proastă e că dacă cei de la deviantART nu consideră de cuviinţă să-mi înapoieze ce este de fapt al meu, singura persoană blamabilă voi fi eu.

Ar trebui să-mi reevaluez motto-ul în ceea ce priveşte perioada limitată de timp pe care o acord informaţiior stocate în memorie. Ideea este că eu ţin foarte mult la cele zece procente de care sunt capabilă, ştiţi voi, cele zece procente de activitate cerebrală. Din această nefericită cauză, nu ţin stocate în memorie informaţii neimportante, neinteresante, nerelevante, ne-ne–mai mult de câteva zile.

Un amic, cunoscându-mi repulsia evidentă faţă de back-up mi-a recomandat Google Docs. Păi da, amice, după ce pierzi câţiva ani de creativitate nebună, cred şi eu că Google inventează Google Docs. God damn my karma!

Să vă povestesc despre cea mai extensivă şi complexă lucrare a mea, bazată pe fapte reale, scrisă în termen de aproape 7 ani pe care spre disperarea mea am securizat-o cu o parolă pe care spre prostia mea, nu mi-o amintesc? Nu, n-o să vă povestesc asta…

Concluzia este că deviantART merită aprecieri superlative, iar eu merit câteva palme.

Mi-am amintit zilele în care eram şi eu o parte – destul de activă – a celei mai mari comunităţi artistice online – deviantART! Şi mi-am amintit – mai bine mă lipseam! – de accentul pe care directorii de galerii şi nu numai îl puneau pe categoriile galeriilor. În cazul în care nu sunteţi familari cu categoriile artistice marca deviantART, vi le spun eu.

Avem pentru început 3D & Fractal Art. Eh, din categoria asta mare şi frumoasă ies două ramuri: Fractal Art şi 3Dimensional Art. 3D Art are 6 alte ramuri: Abstract, Characters (alte 9 ramuri: Animals & Creatures, Anthropomorphic, Cartoon, Female, Groups, Machines & Robotics, Male, Manga & Anime, Misc), Objects (cu alte 10 ramuri: Basic Shapes, Everyday Items, Flowers & Plants, Furniture, Music Related, Others, Sports Related, Technology Related, Tools & Machinery, Weapons), Manga & Anime, Scenes (cu 8 ramuri: Exteriors, Fantasy, Futuristic & Sci-Fi, Interiors, Landscapes, Other, Spacescapes, Waterscapes), Vehicles (cu 5 ramuri: Aerial, Aquatic, Futuristic, Other, Terrestrial). Acum realizez că aveam perfectă dreptate să nu înţeleg mare lucru din ierarhizarea asta a artei! Staff-ul deviantART insistă asupra categoriilor în măsura în care dacă postezi ceva în altă categorie decât trebuie îţi şterge lucrarea, pur şi simplu. Perfect! Dreptul lor. Dar oare nu s-au gândit ca în descrierea fiecărei categorii să fie mai expliciţi? Nu, o descriere a oricărei categorii nu conţine mai mult de două propoziţii. Dar se insistă asupra respectării cu sfinţenie a ierarhizării.

Ierarhizare my ass! Vorbim despre artă, nu despre fizică sau chimie, unde tabelele, ierarhizările, clasificările şi ale porcării de genul sunt esenţiale. Doamne, arta e frumuseţe, arta e libertate! Dacă am ajuns în stadiul în care îngrădim arta, stadiul în care ne trebuie clasificări şi categorii de tot felul ca să putem crea atunci care mai este rostul creaţiei? Sau mai bine spus, cum mai putem crea? Ce mai putem crea?

Am mai scris undeva, odată, de mult despre adevărul (meu!) care sună cam aşa: creativitatea este legătura indestructibilă între oameni şi Creator. Oare oamenii nu-şi dau seama că puterea noastră de a crea frumuseţe din nimic ne aduce foarte aproape de divin? Eu mă întreb, oare, Dumnezeu când a creat omul s-a gândit la categoriile în care să-şi plaseze creaţia? „Bun… Soarele, click stânga 3D & Fractal Art – 3Dimensional Art – Objects – Basic Shapes. Aşa, am terminat cu Soarele. Ia să vedem, pe om cum îl categorisim, ce etichete să-i lipim pe frunte? Ce zici, Gavriile, Traditional Art sau Digital Art? Da, ai dreptate, s-ar încadra mai bine în Cartoon, Comic & Manga.”

Nu vreau să-mi imaginez că eu sunt singura persoană care creează de dragul de a crea fără să se gândească „Oare ce anume creez, cu exactitate, ce o să iasă din sufletul meu? Transgressive? Nu, n-am pus destule droguri şi sex. Spiritual? Nu, ce-am scris eu n-are nicio legătură cu spiritualitatea… Uhm, oare unde, unde Dumnezeului se încadrează arta mea?” Unde? În mine. Eu sunt arta mea şi etichetându-mi arta cu zeci şi zeci de cuvinte şi cuvinţele – care în definitiv nu definesc nimic important – ar înseamna să-mi etichetez propriul suflet. Acum, eu vreau să cunosc un suflet căruia îi face plăcere să se eticheteze singur.

În ultimele două săptămâni, postul de televiziune HBO a difuzat foarte des filmul “Casanova“, film pe care l-am vizionat cu plăcere de câte ori am avut ocazia.

Heath Ledger (cunoscut pentru filme precum “Casanova“, “10 Things I Hate About You“, “The Patriot“, “Lords of Dogtown“, “The Order“, “A Knight’s Tale” ş.a.) a fost găsit mort ieri, 22 ianuarie, în apartamentul său.

Eu nu obişnuiesc să scriu astfel de articole, dar moartea subită a tânărului actor (28 de ani) m-a şocat, deşi şoc nu a fost exact ceea ce am simţit când am citit acest articol.
